Hi, I’m Alana…

I’m a Product Designer & UX Research Specialist, blending research-driven insights with innovative design to create seamless digital experiences. With over eight years of experience, I specialise in UX research, UX/UI design, and product strategy, bridging the gap between user needs and business objectives.

I take a holistic approach to UX, combining qualitative research, human behavior, and visual design. I hold a Master’s in Interaction Design & Electronic Arts from the University of Sydney, with a focus on human-centred design and interactive technologies. My background in Socio-Cultural Anthropology strengthens my research and synthesis skills, while my training in graphic design my visual design skills.

I’ve worked with startups, enterprises, and government agencies, transforming research into high-impact, user-centric designs. My experience includes designing for My Health Record, Australia’s national digital health record system managed by the Australian Digital Health Agency, and Springday, a fast-growing Australian-owned startup. My work focuses on driving user engagement. Whether conducting user interviews, mapping customer journeys, or crafting wireframes and prototypes, my goal is to create experiences that engage, convert, and delight users.
